This Privacy Policy describes how the Chilltastic app (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
Chilltastic does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the App.
Any data generated by your use of the App remains on your device and is not sent to our servers or any third-party servers.
2. Anonymous Account Creation
The App allows you to create an anonymous account using a self-chosen username and PIN. We want to be clear about what this means:
- No real name, email address, phone number, or other personally identifying information is required or collected
- Your username and PIN are stored solely to allow you to access your account and resume your progress
- We have no way of linking your account to you as a real person
- You may choose any username you like and it need not relate to your real identity
3. Anonymous Usage Data
The App may collect limited, fully anonymised technical data to help us understand how the App is used and to improve its performance. This data:
- Cannot be used to identify you personally
- Does not include your name, email, location, or device identifiers
- Is aggregated and cannot be linked back to any individual user
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how the App is used and to improve performance. Google Analytics may automatically collect the following information:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- General location (country or region level only, not precise location)
- Session activity such as screens viewed and time spent in the App
- Crash reports and performance data
This data is collected in an aggregated and anonymised form and is used solely to improve the App experience. Google Analytics does not receive your username, PIN, or any information that could identify you as a real person.
Google’s data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection by adjusting your device’s advertising settings.
We do not integrate any advertising networks or social media platforms that collect personal data.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Because we collect no personal data at all, the App is safe for use by all ages.
6. Data Security
Because Chilltastic does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data at risk of a security breach on our end. Any data stored locally on your device is subject to your device’s own security settings.
7. Data Retention
We do not retain personal data because we do not collect it. Any anonymised, aggregated data we receive cannot be attributed to you and is not stored in a way that could ever identify you.
8. Your Rights
As we do not collect personal data, there is no personal information for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have concerns about data held on your device, you can uninstall the App at any time, which will remove all locally stored App data.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL and reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
